This video reviews BA’s flight from London, Heathrow (LHR) to Brussels, Belgium (BRU) in August 2017.
The outbound flight BA 388 was operated by Qatar Airways. BA wet leased several Airbus 320 aircraft from the Gulf carrier to mitigate any impact of the BA cabin crew strike (Qatar Airways had spare capacity over the Summer).
This gave me and thousands of passengers the opportunity to enjoy the superior experience offered by Qatar, a 5 star airline.
In Club Europe “by Qatar Airways”, passengers enjoyed more comfortable and spacious seats. Qatar Airways staff was extremely helpful and friendly. (I noted that after landing the curtain was kept drawn until all passengers in “Club” had disembarked).
Passengers in economy also enjoyed an improved experience with more leg room and free drinks and snacks (BA should reconsider its extremely poor buy on board service). The Airbus for my flight (A7-ADE) returned to Qatar on 1st September 2017. During its stint in the UK, it flew to Kiev, Copenhagen, Stuttgart, Geneva, Istanbul
Excellent experience overall. Thank you Qatar Airways!
