This is an inflight review regarding Asiana Airlines. I recently took a flight from Beijing Peking International Airport to Honolulu via Seoul Incheon Airport. On the first flight the A330-300 aircraft was fairly old as the seats were uncomftorable, legroom was hindered by entertainment boxes and the personal TV’s were simply displaying videos and movies on a loop. I believe this configuration is used mainly on Asiana’s intra-Asia/Korea flights which typically last five hours or less. On the other hand the flight to Honolulu from Seoul featured a brand new A330 aircraft and was most likely in an international configuration.
Asiana’s inflight staff and service is excellent, and I would say the service beats out Korean Airlines. The food and catering was amazing, and most importantly the seats in economy feature a 33-34 inch pitch compared to US and European carriers which more than likely utilize aircraft with 31-32 inch pitch. This mere increase in legroom provides excellent comfort.
I look forward to flying Asian Again.
